Competition “Concepcion Campus Library”

A steel structure building and flexible to be built in stages, were two requirements for this competition.

A modular material marks a pattern that interests us as a project criterion: reducing decisions that acquire consistency in the insistent repetition of the baseline unit. Resolve a segment of the project in a 1:20 scale allows the systematization (the part) and build with it the shape (the whole).

A powerful structure (inertness) holds a powerful (life) system, in the words of Architect Jaime Garreton. In this project, as would appear in the Competition for the Chemical Sciences Building (2011), the structure blends into the system, the boundary between them is diluted as the will of the project.
