Chillan Hot Springs, Pinto – CHILE

 

A plot located at 1225 m high, with abundant snow in winter and hot summer. The gaps between the ancient oaks define the possible location of the house.

One single piece is located parallel to the road and the mountain views. The excessive mass of the first level is lightened by a displaced volume at the second level; the minimum habitat modulation is repeated and multiplied according to the requirements of the program.

The visual experience of the landscape is divided between the immediate dense foliage and the distant mass of the mountains. The internal circulation happens between walls, contrasting the wide views of the permanence enclosures.
