The daily paths turning around a small plaza set the spatial structure of this house
The daily paths revolving around a small square set the spatial structure of this house. A plan of 21 x 21 m is perforated by a courtyard of 10.3 x 6.40 m, this void opened to the sky allows the crossing of views and put the house in relation to the suburban landscape. The house looks itself, and transforms the courtyard light intensity during the day. This marks the time of day and seasons, reflected in changes of deciduous trees. The constant sound of a small pool of water, made in granite stone, holds a whisper that affects the perception of the yard.
The brick skin intensifies the perforated mass criterion, and allows us to increase the dense lecture and quiet reading that makes background of the nuances of everyday life.
This house gave birth to a nearby replica, where the mass matches, but the internal and external relations diverge.
